TBG Learning Swindon has built a successful partnership with a local business which is on course to reach its target of opening five restaurant franchises in as many years.
TBG Learning has supported Isendwishi Limited on the opening of its third Subway franchise at Lydiard Fields in Swindon, following on from openings in Chippenham in 2009 and Frome in 2011.
The company, which is run by Chris Crook and has its offices above the Subway at The Bridge in Chippenham, has created 12 new jobs at the new outlet and now employs around 35 people across its three sites.
TBG Learning Swindon is delivering the Government’s Work Programme on behalf of Jobfit.
TBG Learning helped Isendwishi hold a recruitment day at the Minton Place centre on Station Road which led to the employment of three candidates – Dan Holland (27), Lorna Carter (22) and Craig Anning (25).
Chris said: “We’ve developed a really good relationship with TBG Learning.
“The company’s employment team helped us hold an interview day at their centre on Minton Place, which was extremely useful and we’re delighted that it led to us taking on three new members of staff who have all settled in really well.
“It’s really good to be helping local people get back into work and we look forward to working with TBG Learning again in the future.
“Since launching our first franchise in 2009 we’ve undergone an aggressive expansion strategy and despite the economic downturn we’ve been in a position to grow the business.
“When we launched we had a target to open five restaurants in five years, and so far we’ve done three in four years and we anticipate reaching this target if everything goes to plan.
“The Subway franchising framework has enabled us to put a robust expansion plan in place and we’re actively looking for opportunities to build on the success of the last few years.”
Marie Dickinson, a personal advisor at TBG Learning Swindon, said: “It’s great to see local businesses creating new job opportunities and we were delighted to work with Chris to help the right people gain employment at the new Subway on Lydiard Fields.
“The new starters have settled in really well and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Chris and supporting the company again in the near future.”
