Rehab JobFit attend a policy forum event on Tackling poverty in Wales

Rehab JobFit attended the Policy forum for Wales event on Tackling poverty in Wales.

The early intervention, welfare reform and routes out of poverty conference was held at the Park Inn Hotel in Cardiff on the 15th September 2015.

Rehab JobFit’s Executive Director spoke on a conference panel on the topic of Skills, work schemes and community-based approaches which was chaired by Baroness Randerson, Spokesperson for Transport, Liberal Democrats, and former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Wales Office.

The conference was enlightening regarding the realities of poverty in Wales and the work being done across programmes dealing with early intervention such as Families First and Flying Start, through to support being provided by essential organisations such as the Wales Foodbank Network, Community housing organisations and eeeSafe.

Rehab JobFit were in attendance to share some thoughts and hear from the audience regarding the role of Work in tackling poverty in Wales.
